Skate Rentals at University District Ice Rink opening soon for the 2024/25 season!

The ice rink nestled in Central Commons Park is a seasonal centerpiece that transforms University District into a winter wonderland.

The rink has state-of-the-art temperature regulating technology, the only refrigerated outdoor rink in Calgary, that will keep you skating all winter long. The rink is surrounded by benches and picnic tables, fire features and light displays. Come out and enjoy the magic of Central Commons Park at University District this winter!

The rink is located near 3917 University Avenue NW, between Borough Bar & Grill and The Canadian Brewhouse.

At the Skate Hut you can rent ice skates from a toddler size 7 to a men's size 16 and everything in between.  We also offer skating aids and helmets for children and adults.
